St. Ambrose School opened in August 1964 under the administration of Fr. Charles F. Ward. The school was administered by the Sisters of the Assumption from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and continued to until 1970. The Sisters withdrew at that time and the administration then passed into the hands of the laity. For almost thirty years, St. Ambrose Catholic School has promoted the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and aesthetic developement of each child. In keeping with a traditional Catholic education, our program is "Christ-centered," stressing those qualities of religion, family values and discipline.
